About Foundry
How Foundry started
In an empty factory in 2011. Here’s our story, what we believe and who leads us.
Our story
It started with a space heater
In 2011, Dan got the keys to an empty floor in Building 4 from a landlord who didn’t know what else to do with it. Twelve people swept up, borrowed a space heater, set out chairs and started praying for the east side.
The floor is full on Sundays now. On Saturdays our crews fix roofs, porches and kitchens for neighbours who can’t afford to.
What we believe
What we believe
01
Jesus
He makes things new, and nobody is beyond repair.
02
The Bible
We build our lives on it, and it has the final say.
03
Each other
Church is a crew. We work and pray side by side.
04
Grace
It’s for broken people, which is all of us.
05
Our neighbours
Faith that never picks up a hammer isn’t worth much.
Our team
Who leads us
Dan has been our pastor since the space heater. He was a welder for twelve years before that.
